I’ll never forget the national outpouring of grief that erupted out of America after the Sandy Hook shooting. There was something so unsettling about it to me. Something so profoundly disturbing that it actually frightened me more than the actual shooting itself.
The thought has haunted me up till now. Why couldn’t I just chorus my shock with the collective agony over the sadistic slaughter of such fragile innocence? Why couldn’t I just join the searing contempt for the maniacal murderer who showed such callous disregard for the loved ones of those he killed? I was alarmed, sure. I mean Jesus, what kind of sick country supplies weapons used in the wanton bloodshed of children? Adam Lanza obtained his weapons that easily?
I just couldn’t join in the massive sense of grief that gripped the nation. I think it was my inability to shake images or stories like that of Naeemullah from my conscience. Tragedies of similar savagery flashed into my mind at every instance I heard or read a gasped expression of grief over the horrors of Sandy Hook Elementary.
But there was one mournful wail that triggered those flashes of murdered children more than any other:
“The majority of those who died today were children, beautiful little kids between the ages of 5 and 10 years old. They had their entire lives ahead of them: birthdays, graduations, weddings, kids of their own. Among the fallen were also teachers, men and women who devoted their lives to helping our children fulfill their dreams.”
Barack Obama uttered these heartfelt words through restrained tears. He and the country he presides over had trouble fathoming a maniacal massacre of defenseless children on such a terrifying scale.
Obama’s speech on the Newtown tragedy is a rare glimpse into the American spirit. You can see the bright red eyes squirting a few bloody tears, wiped away by black claws that this mass murderer uses to ensure terror rains down on children all over the world. You can see the fangs, because not all slaughtered children are equally precious to Americans, or to Obama. Especially the ones they slaughter together.
An AR-15 vs F-16s
Since Tuesday, July 8 2014, a rogue terror state has been ravaging a captive populace of 1.8 million humans beings that it keeps in perpetual torment. Israel, using the most lethal and advanced military technology available, has put Gaza’s peoples through a living Hell. The ceaseless atrocities are nearly impossible to document at the speed they occur. There exist ample amounts of incontrovertible evidence that the Israeli Defense Forces have bombed:
- A coffeehouse full of World Cup watching patrons.
- At least 17 hospitals.
- A charity house for disabled people who are unable to flee airstrikes.
- The only power plant in Gaza.
The list is limitless.
Dozens of Sandy Hooks
Surprisingly enough, these unspeakable war crimes are inevitable when one of the most densely populated urban areas on Earth is pummeled with thousands upon thousands of tons of missiles, artillery shells, and airstrikes. And, surprisingly enough, all of those explosions turn a few children into bloody ash.
All of that explosive weaponry has annihilated at least 448 children as of this writing. Children by the score. Sleeping children. Unborn children. Children playing soccer on a beach.Children in schools.
Children in schools. Over 140 Palestinian schools have been damaged in terrorist attacks by the Israeli military, along with seven U.N. schools turned shelters for the hundreds of thousands of displaced Palestinians fleeing for their lives. Much of the world expressed outrage at the nightmarish fear inflicted into the nominally safe children blown up in these safe zones. Here the US State department feigns anger over the IDF’s sixth United Nations Relief Agency school in Rafah:
“The United States is appalled by today’s disgraceful shelling outside an UNRWA school in Rafah sheltering some 3,000 displaced persons, in which ten more Palestinian civilians were tragically killed …”
Yes. Appalled that the country the US aids with $3.1 billion per year, will aid with $30 billion over the next decade and has aided with $67 billion since its inception is murdering without apprehension. Demented.
Sandy Hooking the World
The pathetic sycophancy of the US government to Israel is fuel for every blown up child in Gaza; complicit with every lost parent and loved one that Israel obliterates with its infernal war machine. The Pentagon’s soulless role as a crazed patron of Israeli ethnic cleansing forever erases future birthday parties, graduations, soccer games, dance parties and family dinners for Palestinians in Gaza.
Around halfway through Operation Destructive Edge, when it was evident to the world that scores of children were amongst the hundreds of innocent human beings massacred by the best equipped terrorist organization in the world, the US senate unanimously passed a resolution expressing “the sense of the Senate regarding United States support for the State of Israel as it defends itself against unprovoked rocket attacks from the Hamas terrorist organization.” Unanimous. Snarling neo-fascists like the depraved scumbag that sponsored it, Lindsey Graham, and “leftists” like Elizabeth Warren alike.
Not one person in this hyper-partisan snake pit mentioned the incomprehensible, and almost indescribable misery and suffering they’re causing for innocent people. Not one of these gutless jackals cautioned that they’re arming a state where the highest levels of government and journalists at major newspapers are openly calling for genocide.
The House was equally poisonous. An open letter penned by Rep. Keith Ellison calling for a brokerage to end violence for all sides involved received six signatures, including Ellison. And the hundreds of killed kids in Gaza since can thank the other 428 representatives for their malice.
There is no doubt that each and every member of Congress mourned the Sandy Hook slaughter in Newtown, Connecticut. Here’s what Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy, the co-sponsor to the Senate resolution, then senator-elect, said:
“I am shocked and saddened by the horrific news from Sandy Hook Elementary School this morning, and I pray that kids, teachers, staff, and families reach safety as quickly as possible,”
“Our thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones.”
And there it is: Behold a creature that can weep for dead children before mass murdering other children. A screeching hellspawn that would have Lovecraft scrambling for dear life.
Utter madness; complete insanity. A total moral collapse—-Americans cannot generate empathy with the people they Sandy Hook all over the world the way they did for the actual shooting of Sandy Hook.
The terror unleashed by Adam Lanza, and other American mass shooters such as Elliot Rodgers and James Holmes, do not, summed up, equal one percent of what Israel and America have done to Gaza. Not just this latest crime against humanity either. Recall that the previous slaying of Palestinian children preceded Sandy Hook by less than a month.
Now I realize why I didn’t shudder at Lanza’s killing spree as much as I did the anguished howl that followed it nationwide. Adam Lanza is everywhere around me, and everywhere I see. Every time I approach a checkout counter, turn on the TV, or look in the mirror I know that I’m staring at a mass murderer of children.
And after the next inevitable mass shooting of children in this insane country, I’ll be able see through the tears and identify who the real killers are.
