Emmarie Huetteman

Emmarie Huetteman is a correspondent for Kaiser Health News. Before that she worked at The New York Times, where she covered Congress with a focus on the House of Representatives and, most recently, the investigations into Russian meddling in the 2016 election. In 2015, she reported from the front lines of the nascent refugee crisis in Germany as part of the International Center for Journalists’ Arthur F. Burns Fellowship. A graduate of the University of Michigan, she also holds a master’s degree in public affairs reporting from Northwestern University’s Medill School, where she worked on an award-winning reporting project on the national security implications of climate change.
