With the thousands of lives lost in Iraq, more US soldiers are dying of suicide then dying in battle. In 2010, 468 US troops committed suicide and an average of 18 US soldiers per day die. Many feel that the trauma of war is too much for soldiers handle when returning to civilian life. Jason Leopold, deputy managing editor for TruthOut.Org, joins us to explore the situation.
Also, please read Jason Leopold's recent report and watch the video interview he conducted with investigative journalist Joshua Phillips, author of “None of Us Were Like This Before: American Soldiers and Torture,” who talked about his investigation into the 2004 death of Army Sgt. Adam Gray and how it led him to uncover a tragic story about torture's other victims.
