Watchdog NGO Open Secrets monitors donations to US politicians and money in US politics. Open Secrets has compiled a list of the 20 largest donors to Democratic 2016 Presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders. The following figures constitute not donations from the corporations or organizations themselves, but rather donations from their PACs; their individual owners, employees, or members; and/or the families of those individuals.

Eighteen of the top 20 (90 percent) contributors to Hillary Clinton are corporations or provide services to corporations. Over one-third (35 percent) of Clinton’s top 20 donors are banks, including some of the largest banks in the US.

In all, Clinton’s top 20 contributors have donated over $8.4 million in the last 16 years.
