Jennifer Patrice Sims

Jennifer Patrice Sims is a U.S.-based sociologist and the author of The Fallacies of Racism: Understanding How Common Perceptions Uphold White Supremacy. Taking mixed-race populations as her focus, her research examines racial construction, perception and identity in the U.S. and U.K., as well as interrogating how knowledge about race is produced and disseminated. Sims completed her Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014 and is currently associate professor at the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
