Alice Kim is an educator, organizer and writer. She is the editor of Praxis Center, an online social justice resource center, and is a co-founder of the Chicago Torture Justice Memorials, a grassroots collective seeking justice for Jon Burge police torture survivors through activism and the arts. She also teaches writing at Stateville Prison, a maximum security prison for men in Illinois, through the Prison Neighborhood Arts Project. She was previously Director of The Public Square at the Illinois Humanities Council and a national organizer with the Campaign to End the Death Penalty. She is a Soros Justice Fellow and is co-authoring a book about the struggles for justice in the Burge torture cases.
