Pat Gowens

Pat Gowens is director of Welfare Warriors in Milwaukee and the founder of Mother Warriors Voice, a 36-year-old, ad-free, international magazine fighting for the lives of mothers and children in poverty. She raised three sons as a single mom, often battling the welfare system for child support.
