Nathalia Jaramillo recently published ‘Immigration and the Challenge of Education: A Social Drama Analysis in South Central Los Angeles,’ which concerns the same school that is the current subject of the child abuse scandal. Although the book does not specifically chronicle the incidents of sexual abuse, it does discuss the culture of silence working within the school, and accounts for why the students and parents in such communities are so vulnerable.
