Max Feldman

Max Feldman serves as counsel in the Democracy Program at the Brennan Center for Justice, where he focuses on voting rights and elections. Prior to joining the Brennan Center, Mr. Feldman was a litigation associate in private practice at Munger, Tolles & Olson. His practice focused on complex commercial litigation, and he represented clients in a variety of industries, in both state and federal court. Mr. Feldman also maintained a pro bono practice focused on immigration issues.
Mr. Feldman began his legal career as a law clerk to Judge Bruce M. Selya of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Before attending law school, he was head speechwriter to New York Governor David Paterson and a speechwriter to Governor Bill Richardson during his campaign for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination. Mr. Feldman received his J.D. magna cum laude from New York University School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an articles editor of the N.Y.U. Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College.
