Joe Macaré

Joe Macaré is Truthout’s former head of publishing and a coeditor of the anthology Who Do You Serve, Who Do You Protect? Police Violence and Resistance in the United States. His interest in police repression, people’s movements and activism began among the protesters, observers and bystanders ‘kettled’ for seven hours by the London Metropolitan Police on May Day, 2001.
