Thomas Piketty is Professor of Economics at the Paris School of Economics. He is the author of numerous articles published in journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Political Economy, the American Economic Review and the Review of Economic Studies, and of a dozen books, including Capital in the Twenty-First Century. He has done major historical and theoretical work on the interplay between economic development and the distribution of income and wealth.
Jeffrey D. Sachs is the Director of The Earth Institute, Quetelet Professor of Sustainable Development, and Professor of Health Policy and Management at Columbia University. He is also Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. From 2002 to 2006, he was Director of the UN Millennium Project and Special Advisor to United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan on the Millennium Development Goals, the internationally agreed goals to reduce extreme poverty, disease, and hunger by the year 2015. Sachs is also President and Co-Founder of Millennium Promise Alliance, a nonprofit organization aimed at ending extreme global poverty.
Heiner Flassbeck is former State Secretary in the German Federal Ministry of Finance.
Dani Rodrik is Ford Foundation Professor of International Political Economy, Harvard Kennedy School.
Simon Wren-Lewis is Professor of Economic Policy, Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford.
