Beezer de Martelly

Beezer de Martelly is a white, queer graduate student in the ethnomusicology program at UC Berkeley where they also teach music courses. Their research explores representations of whiteness in Seattle’s multiracial and multiethnic punk scene during the city’s tech boom in the 1980s. Their core organizing work advances free, accessible, quality public education and fair treatment and compensation of the workers who sustain it.
