Balbir K. Singh

Balbir K. Singh is a PhD Candidate in English at the University of Washington. She is at work on her dissertation on the Sikh diaspora in the U.S. and its long histories of racial coding, the policing of these bodies through various forms of governmentality, and the paradoxes of religious tolerance in the 20th and early 21st centuries. Currently, Balbir is a Visiting Fellow in American Studies at Harvard University.
