Alburnus Major

Alburnus Maior is an NGO based in Rosia Montana, Alba and represents the interests of those residents of Rosia Montana and Bucium opposed RMP and refuses to alienate the properties to make way for the mine. It was established on 8 September 2000 and oppose open pit mining project proposed by Rosia Montana Gold Corporation (the Project), on social, environmental, economic and heritage. The proposed project uses cyanide and wants to be the largest mining surface in Europe.
