Al Shaw is a news applications developer at ProPublica. Previously he was designer/developer at Talking Points Memo and creator of TPM’s PollTracker application. Before that he was an editorial intern at USATODAY.com. Al attended the University of Chicago where he concentrated in near Eastern languages and civilizations.
