Neha Madhira is an award-winning gender, health and politics reporter with a focus in South Asia and the Middle East. Previously, she was a breaking news reporter in Austin, Texas, where she broke the news of the first cases of COVID-19 in Travis County and spent the next several months researching how the pandemic was detrimental to education and healthcare systems domestically and abroad. As an editorial board member for the Women’s Media Center as well, she platformed community voices across borders through her coverage.
