Molly Peterson
Molly Peterson is a Los Angeles-based staff writer for Public Health Watch. Previously she worked in public media, at KQED, LAist, WWNO, NPR and, most recently, the California Newsroom, where she investigated the Clean Air Act and wildfires. She was part of a KQED Science team honored with a Sigma Delta Chi award for wildfire reporting in 2020. She has also won numerous awards for investigative reporting, including a national Murrow for “Older and Overlooked,” looking into the risks wildfire poses to care home residents, and she was an Investigative Reporters and Editors finalist for her radio investigation into a whistleblower and contracting in New Orleans, “Pumps Under Pressure.” Her work has also appeared at The Guardian, The New York Times, High Country News, Code Switch and other national outlets.
