Liz Hanna

Liz Hanna is an honorary associate professor at the Australian National University Fenner School for Environment and Society — and Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions. Hanna also chairs the Environmental Health Working Group of the World Federation of Public Health Associations. She is a past president of the Climate and Health Alliance, a fellow of the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) and a fellow of the Australian College of Nursing. She convened Australia’s National Climate Change Adaptation Research Network for Human Health. Her primary research interest spans all climate impacts on human health, adaptation options and strategies to boost community resilience and health sector preparedness, with a specific focus on heat exposures and disasters.
