Lisa Gray-Garcia

Tiny aka Lisa Gray-Garcia is a poverty skolar, poet, teacher, lecturer, revolutionary journalist, daughter of Dee and Mama of Tiburcio. She founded POOR Magazine/Prensa POBRE – a poor people-led, indigenous people-led grassroots, arts organization with her mama in 1996 and has launched countless, innovative media, arts and education projects with her fellow poverrty skolaz. She has been published in many journals and revolutionary presses and is the author of Criminal of Poverty; Growing Up Homeless in America published by City Lights and is working on Poverty Skolazhip 101 – a PeoplesTeXt and just recieved the Marguerite Casey Award for Coverage of poverty in media.
