Lameka Smith

Lameka Smith is the mother of 10 children, one of whom is incarcerated in Swanson Correctional Center for Youth. Since her son was incarcerated in 2017, she has been advocating for the closure of Swanson, and the reinvestment into rehabilitative resources and community support systems. Smith lives in West Monroe, Louisiana.
