Jason Plautz is the Washington D.C. Correspondent for InsideClimate News. He previously covered transportation for Energy and Environment Publishing, writing for Greenwire, E&E Daily and E&E News PM.

He has also written for National Journal, Mental_floss, TheAtlantic.com and Pacific Standard. He has a degree in journalism and political science from Northwestern University, where he also helped found the online magazine North By Northwestern.
