Francois May
Michael Pirsch was a union activist and union organizer for more than 25 years and a D.J. on Berkeley Liberation Radio, a pirate radio station. He now lives as an economic refugee from the United States in Thailand. Photographer Francois May, after working for a decade for the general and financial press, decided to change his circumstances and left for Asia. He now lives in Bangkok. He attempts, in his photos, to capture the atmosphere of the moment when he becomes invisible and forgotten by the subject. ‘What one sees is not what one sees. What one sees is what one is.’
