Her coverage of the BP/Deepwater Horizon disaster was recognized as among the best 2010 workplace health and safety writing by the Southern California Coalition for Occupational Safety & Health, and her 2010 YES! Magazine story on water rights received a Media Freedom Foundation-sponsored award.
