Elena Gormley

Elena Gormley is a social worker, writer and designer in Chicago. By day she works in development and communications in workforce development and reentry, and by night she gets in good trouble with a variety of groups and coalitions. Elena has previously written for Vox, VICE, Alma, JTA and Jacobin about everything from issues with police co-responder models, food stamp policy and the importance of dresses and skirts with pockets. Her work is taught at universities across the U.S. to wide acclaim and accusations that she is a threat to the integrity of the social work profession.
