Cynthia Franklin

Cynthia Franklin is Professor of English at the University of Hawai’i. She co-edits the journal Biography, serves on the editorial board of American Quarterly, and is the author of scholarly essays and two books: Academic Lives: Memoir, Cultural Theory and the University Today (2009) and Writing Women’s Communities: The Politics and Poetics of Contemporary Multi-Genre Anthologies (1997). She has coedited four special issues of Biography, including “Life in Occupied Palestine,” available open access. She is on the Organizing Collective of the US Campaign for the Academic and Cultural Boycott of Israel.
