Claudia Garcia-Rojas is the co-director of the Chicago Taskforce on Violence Against Girls and Young Women. As part of the Chicago Taskforce, she co-authored the groundbreaking guide “Reporting on Sexual Violence: A Toolkit for Local and National Journalists to Better Media Coverage.” She was one of the co-organizers of the Movement Journalism Track at the Allied Media Conference, where she regularly offers workshops on media literacy and writing. Claudia is a regular commentator for Chicago Public Media’s Vocalo radio station and has produced segments for both Vocalo and WBEZ. She also organizes with Love & Protect, a grassroots organization that supports criminalized survivors.
