Truthout is a vital news source and a living history of political struggle. If you think our work is valuable, support us with a donation of any size.
We know that the news never stops happening, even when the cameras aren’t paying attention.
That’s why Truthout reports seven days a week, 365 days a year. Our mission is to spark action by revealing systemic injustice and providing a platform for transformative ideas, through in-depth investigative reporting and critical analysis.
By subscribing to Truthout’s daily newsletter, you’ll never miss a story. Our daily emails give you the top headlines of the day from Truthout’s reporters and leading progressive thinkers, as well as the best reprints from other independent news sources, plus links and commentary from Buzzflash.
You’ll also get invites to Truthout events and details of each month’s Progressive Picks – the books, DVDs and CDs that we think are essential for critical, informed readers.
At Truthout, we’re proudly independent and committed to digging up the real story. We don’t take any advertising or commercial backing, so we’re able to provide a growing, thriving alternative to mainstream, corporate news organizations.
If you care about the issues, not just the media talking points, get the real scoop by subscribing to Truthout’s newsletter.
An urgent fundraising appeal: 72 Hours to raise $29,000
Truthout is one of only a few platforms for justice-oriented, grassroots journalism. Today, we face an existential threat.
Due to Google’s launch of AI search, we’ve seen a drastic plunge in our site traffic and, as a result, our revenue. We lost 15 percent of our readership overnight. This was a readership we painstakingly built over decades, and it vanished because Google chose corporate greed over a healthy democracy.
We are fundraising right now to meet our basic operating expenses. If you can support Truthout with a one-time or monthly donation, you will make a significant impact on our work. Anything you can do makes a difference — we appreciate your support.
