Manuela Picq

Manuela Lavinas Picq is a Loewenstein fellow and visiting associate professor in political science at Amherst College. She is a professor of international relations at Universidad San Francisco de Quito, Ecuador. Her research tackles Indigenous politics and sexuality in world politics and Latin America. She is co-editor, with Markus Thiel, of Sexualities in World Politics (Routledge 2015) and, with Maria Amelia Viteri, of Queering Narratives of Modernity (Peter Lang 2016). She’s contributed to international media outlets like Al Jazeera English and now edits at Intercontinental Cry.
