Lawrence Grossberg

Lawrence Grossberg is the Morris Davis Distinguished Professor of Communication Studies and Cultural Studies, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. One of the first students to work with Stuart Hall at the Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies, and a founder of cultural studies in the US, he is recognized internationally as a leading figure in cultural studies and cultural theory. His latest books include Cultural Studies in the Future Tense and We All Want to Change the World. The latter, available for free download, considers some of the contexts and debates of contemporary left politics, thinking towards the possibility of a different kind of counter cultural unity.
