Marie Arana

Marie Arana was born in Lima, Peru. She is the author of Cellophane, Lima Nights, American Chica: Two Worlds, One Childhood and most recently, Bolívar: American Liberator, a biography about Simón Bolívar. She is currently Writer at Large for The Washington Post and a Senior Advisor to the US Librarian of Congress. Arana lives in Washington, DC, and Lima, Peru.
