Isis Smith

Isis Smith is a feminist, pan-africanist and self-proclaimed ‘rogue scholar’ who grew up in Southfield and on Detroit’s North End. She wrote her first poem in kindergarten. She is an alumna of Martin Luther King High School in Detroit and Barnard College in New York. She teaches 4th grade on Detroit’s east side.
